Submit Database Information
In order to create the database tables that will drive your site, you need a valid MySQL database account and password as well as a valid database name. If the database server is running on the same machine as your CivicSpace installation, just enter 'localhost' for the name of the host. Enter the rest of the information for your account below. If you are sharing a database account with other installations of CivicSpace or another software package that utilizes the database with the same database name, you may want to specify a table prefix to avoid a naming collision.
In order for this step to proceed correctly, three conditions need to be verified for the information you submit here:
- The installer needs to use your database hostname, username, and password to connect to the database.
- The database name that you have specified exists.
- There are no name collisions given the database prefix you have chosen.
